Our young Tipp Talons developed players are ready to make the step to a National League roster and we couldn’t be prouder.

This year the first of our players who have been working and developing in the Tipp Talons youth club teams will make the jump to the National League squad.

Both players have worked hard on the HOOPSLife Academy development pathway and in school with the CBS in Thurles to raise to the level required to make this step.

Rion and Emil’s will have the opportunity to work with our pro players and Irish players, who will assist in their growth and development on a path to becoming capable of competing at the highest level of Irish basketball.

Rion has represented Ireland this summer on the Ireland U17 national academy team, playing against a select team from Northern and the Wales U17 national team.

Emīl’s has been selected for the Ireland U17 squad and has already played for the National League team in preseason with an impressive 8pts on his debut.

We look forward to seeing both players on the court this season - trailblazing a pathway for other young Talons players to follow in the coming years 🦅🏀
